About Us

Liberty Christian Academy is a private Christian school operating under the direction of Cornerstone Church in Liberty, Texas.  Our school seeks to serve the community by providing an alternative for K4 - 12 students to attend school in a Christian environment. The mission of Liberty Christian Academy is to partner with parents to equip students to love Jesus with their whole heart for their whole life, while providing a solid academic foundation to prepare them to impact the world. Currently our school serves over 50 families from all over Liberty County and surrounding areas. We offer small classes with a low student to teacher ratio that meet Monday - Thursday, 8:20 AM - 3:00 PM. We desire for students that attend our school to have a worldview that is rooted in the scripture.  Each student begins their instructional day with a Bible class.  Here they learn theology, scripture memorization, and songs that aid in retaining a biblical belief system. LCA has a weekly chapel service that allows students an opportunity to worship and listen to a sermon by one of our pastors or school personnel.  Each week they are challenged to not only be people that know the scripture, but be disciples that obey God at all times. Liberty Christian Academy utilizes Abeka curriculum which is taught from a Christian perspective.  Students engage in rigorous academic subjects including Bible, Arithmetic, Language Arts, Penmanship, Spelling, History, Science, Reading, and Phonics. Our teachers are trained to promote growth and learning through our program by the “spiral review” or “scaffolding” method. This method builds upon prior knowledge from each lesson leading to mastery of a skill, rather than simply memorization. We are part of the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship and offer several extra-curricular opportunities for our students 5th grade and up. Our students have participated in boys and girls cross country, girls volleyball, boys basketball, and track. We also participate in theater and one act play. As our student body grows each year, we plan to offer more activities and clubs.
